Not a happy customer! The shop originally pressed new wheel bearings in my vehicle, key word originally. When I drove away from the shop, my ABS, Emergency Brake, VSA, and VSA Indicator lights were all illuminated. I took it back to the shop minutes later and all he did was reset my computer – Which he said he fixed it. Later that night the lights came on again. I called the following day to see if they could take a look at it, they were unable to take a look. I brought my vehicle in on Monday (8/22) and they’ve had it ever since.(Going on two weeks in three days.) I’ve heard multiple stories from them while they’ve had the vehicle including: “We’re getting a computer from SnapOn that can read the codes the computer is giving us,” “We’re taking it to the dealership tomorrow,” “We have it taken apart right now and we’re investigating the ins and outs of it.” After calling them for five days straight to figure out what was going on, getting the runaround, they took it to the dealership on Tuesday (8/30) When I spoke to the gentleman that had worked on my vehicle, he said that his boss was going to make him pay for my repairs at the dealership. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FROM AN EMPLOYERS STANDPOINT! I got a hold of the dealership today and they told me that the wheel bearing was installed incorrectly. Not only that, but the told me that the wheel bearing swap would have been covered under the PowerTrain warranty, which C&H gave no indication of before they jacked my car up. I understand C&H has a business to operate, but to me good customer service is honest customer service. I feel like I was taken advantage of and on top of that was not given a top notch product for the money I spent. Whenever I called in to ask about an issue, I never talked to a manager, I was transfered to a mechanic in the back. This is a terrible business practice. The mechanics do not get paid to talk to customers. They work on cars. I am now waiting on parts to be ordered so that my car can be put together. I’m thankful I didn’t drive the vehicle because there could have been permanent damage while driving on wheel bearings that were installed incorrectly. If you’ve replaced wheel bearings you know how expensive it is. I finally got my car back this Tuesday (9/6) everything was installed correctly and good to go. I get into my car last night (9/7), start to leave, and my headlights would not work. So I took it back to the place that had my car for two weeks (C&H Tire) and asked that they fix what was broken while in their possession. They were completely uncompliant and unwilling to help with something that was an “aftermarket part” and “not something that they touched.” The headlights functioned perfectly before I dropped my vehicle off, now they are not functioning at all. Please, avoid this shop at all costs. The only positive thing I can say is that they are nice guys, just trained to practice poor customer service I suppose.
